stevejan - one other thing to consider is that pretty much all Rolex SS sport models will have a wait list to purchase from an AD at this point, so be patient if you decide on one of those. Or you can buy used or new through a grey market reseller - instant gratification at a markup!

Big discounts on Grand Seiko.

I'd rather be patient than pay a premium. Is it possible to get on a wait list for a GMT and what would you expect to pay? Everywhere I called said they weren't even taking names, of course I have no insights on who the best to call is either....
I think I like the Rolex GMT the best over the Grand Seiko
Thanks, Steve

Lagunatic - I always love a deal. What do you mean by big discounts?

Lagunatic - I always love a deal. What do you mean by big discounts? I will send you a PM tomorrow when the owner is in. I am not allowed to discuss prices on wristwatchforums. My AD on the east coast has an account with Seiko.

I think I like the Rolex GMT the best over the Grand Seiko Thanks, Steve It took me nearly two years to get my BLNR but I didn't pay a premium. You'll need to know the model number of the watch you want. The SS BLRO (new blue / red bezel in SS) is an even longer wait. If you are talking about the standard black with green hand (Ref # 116710LN), that should be easier. I'll PM you with the name of a dealer to call.

I like my Tudors as well. Rolex quality at a fraction of the price (for now). Looks like the cases are probably the same as Rolex uses on their other models.

Welcome to the forum Steve. You can't go wrong with any of the three you mentioned. I think the Submariner is a classic tool watch that can be dressy or sporty and would be a great start.

I’ve been thinking more and more about a Tudor Blck Bay GMT. Does anyone have recommendations of where to get one or are they pretty much the same situation as the Tolex GMT?
Thanks, Steve

Thanks, Steve I'm on an 18 month waiting list here in the UK. I've seen people saying that some parts of the UK, they can be bought within 6 months. Other countries, they seem to be alot easier to get.

There are some on chrono24.com Sadly those for me are overpriced. Some are £600 over and others over 1k (New).

Thanks, Steve Waitlisted. You can search WatchRecon for pricing if you are willing to pay a premium. Or call the same guy I PMed you with for the Rolex GMT - he sells Tudor also.
