Hi Guys I'm considering an AT to round out my collection. It's the white dial with the blue hands and indices on the bracelet Now a question. Should I get the 39.2mm or the 42mm. My wrist is a little over 7 inches. I know the AT wears bigger than it is because of the small non-rotating bezel. I don't have the luxury of trying one on as there is no AD close to me Think anyone can help? Cheers Bob

I have the 43mm AT chrono and I really got used to the size. My wrist is less than 7 inches... I think. Not sure that these will help, but here are three wrist shots so you can compare.

Hi Bob, Of course everyone's a little different, but I would think with a wrist over 7 inches the 42mm wouldn't be to large. My 42mm PO is fine for my wrist at 6 3/4.

Personally, I'd opt for the 39mm. The AT wears larger than a SMP due to the larger dial and smaller bezel. Not to mention 39mm isn't exactly small....just about the same size as Rolex sport models. Which size PO did you end up with Bob? 42 or 45?

Love that watch Mamas! I think I'd choose the 39 myself.

Since the AT is more of a dress watch, I'd go with the 39mm myself.
My AT looks huge because the thin bezel, but overall size is about the same as the PO.
It does wear larger than you might think, since it's all dial.
39 mm looks like the way to go.

Bob, A couple of days ago I was in the AD and I tried on the 39mm AT and I was suprised at how large it looked, perfect for that style of watch, they didnt have 42mm in stock so I couldnt compare the 2, but I have a 7 inch wrist and the 39mm looked just about perfect to me

Cheers Bob I have favoured the 39 mm versions for the following reasons : -it is already a full size watch is 39 mm : look to it compared to the Broad Arrow : - I do not like the principle of "oversize" : the movement caliber 2500, is not a big movement , when you are looking to the display back on the 39 mm you already notice that the size of the movement is quiet small compared to the case : - The Aqua Terra is IMO a "tribute" watch to its famous ancestors the seamasters of the 50s at this time watches where not that big ... and I wanted it with this "taste" of vintage which oversized watches can't offer Here is my vintage Seamaster 30 from 1959 powered with the famous 30T2 caliber this watch is only 35 mm cheers JM

Great Answer.. also a dress watch should be more sobre.. having a dinner plate strapped to your wrist just looks silly and out of place unless you have a huge wrist. Besides which, this large watch fad, is just that a fad, and in a couple of years will hopefully go away.. so that we can all get back to wearing sensible watch sizes. mamas
