I'm missing a couple of pin sleaves for my bond bracelet (cause I had to canablize it for another one). What would be the consequences of putting the pins in without the sleeves? Cheers, Bruce

Not so good. The pins won't stay in without the sleeves. If you notice the indention in the pin about 1/3 of the way from one end.....there is a corresponding dent on the sleeve that "locks" it into the bracelet. Without the sleeves, the pin will fall right out.

Did you ever try and see if you could find some of those sleeves locally? What about the guy that changed the battery?
Omega customer service has been great for me. Maybe shoot them an email and see what happens. You never know....they may mail you a couple.

I had the Rolex guy do the battery. Shoulda just taken it to the dealer. I haven't asked yet 'cause I just keep forgetting about the watch, and really the bond bracelet isn't my favourite. I like the Speedy style much better. Maybe I'll try an aftermarket Oyster bracelet on it ;D

Here's that pic Mamas. I'm typically a fan of only Oyster style bracelets, but the Bond bracelet works so well with the Bond SMP. Not a big fan of the white GMT on the Bond bracelet.

I think the speedy bracelet looks fine on the Bond. We're just so used to seeing the other one on there that it's hard to get used to something different.

Cool. Thanks Chip! On the bracelets, I reckon the case finish has a lot to do with what looks right. You really can't mix and match bracelets on these watches when the finish is different.
