There are many different tastes in watch brands and designs. Some like things a bit more complicated or flashy, while others like simpler things. I typically lean towards more traditional, but have one that stands out a bit. Let's see your most unusual, uncommon, out of the ordinary watches. It doesn't just have to be a matter of appearance, just something that makes them a bit different. Here's my unusual piece, that definitely stands out in my little collection. 1972 Seamaster Chronograph with blue dial: Let's see yours! eric

Cool watch Eric! When I was having my Seamaster DeVille serviced, I asked the watchmaker what watches he had for sale. He took me back to his office, and pulled a Seamaster Chrono just like that one out of his safe....your's looks to be in MUCH better condition though.

Hi Chip, mamas, thanks for the welcome! I assume the Elgin's from the 20's - 30's due to the Art Deco look of the watch, I don't really know... somebody from the WUS vintage forum thinks it might be from the 30's-40's. The watch reminds me of the Rockefeller Ctr, Empire State, Chrysler Bldgs, etc. It might not be worth much in monetary value, but it sure is nice to have something from that era, and keeping good time too. Interesting that I saw a Patek Philippe Gondolo of recent manufacture having a very similar shape to the Elgin.
