The Omega website now has ther new Legend Speedmasters listed. www.omega.chAll three are limited Editions. What does everyone think about limited editions? Personally, I like them. Presumably it helps sells the watches. And from a consumer perspective it can't be bad to have something with a little exclusivity attached to it. I think it's kind of nice. The Snoopy Speedy is, I think, a limited edition also. OT (Though everyone in the music industry seems to have jumped on the CD-limited-edition bandwagon (no pun intended). Rambler

My personal feeling on a limited is that it can be to many of them. I don't like them that much. I did once own a 30th anniversary speedmaster. Limited to as much as 9999. And the thing I did not like too much was that to keep it's value, I couldn't use it that much. I did even then, but............. But the 30th has one of the nicest casebacks made on a speedy. ( Picture from Watchco Australia) And I think it has to be limited to a rather small numbers to be a good investment I do think the the Snoopy is limited to 5441 pieces Here is the original Snoopy award Cheers Jon

Limited Editions are cool if there.....well....Limited. 1000 or less pieces seems more logical to me. I do like that Apollo 11 Speedy though!

I think I'm OK with them if they're truly limited,as small numbers.

i think that omega has gone a bit o=ver the top with limited edition speedies.. if you count all the schumacher's , the mission patch speedies, and all the others above etc etc you are looking at close to 50 different L.E. which is ridiculous.. especially given that soem limited editionsare close to 10,000! i think that limited edition should be less than a thousand as Sam says.

Not sure I agree. In the vastness of the world, I don't think 10,000 is actually that many. Perhaps too many editions have been produced, not sure about that; but they seem to sell; so something's working. Rambler

But the good thing is that there is a lot of models available Limited to 9999, I would more like it to be named a special model. But some of them are nice, and they do sell. And the limited ones is keeping the history alive. Maybe more important to me on the Apollo program than Michael Schumacher Personally, I prefere the classic look of the original Jon

I really like looking at LE pieces, but thats about it. When I buy a watch I want the original version.
