Wanted to ask everyone about the Aqua Terra watch.
I have a few watches in my humble collection, mainly DJs. It dawned on me I only seem to have one true sports watch. A SS Sub date. I have a TT blue sub, but do not consider it much of a sports watch. Not something that screams rugged for hiking and outdoors. Must be the gold.
I bought a AT a few months back. Quartz, but that is what I wanted.
It is a Seamaster watch. But is it considered a sports watch? I know it is waterproof and all, but it just seems like it would fit more at home with a suit or dress casual.
The SMP just says sports watch to me. But I am undecided if the AT could be considered a sports watch.
So opinions welcomed. I know it is a tough little watch, but by the looks of it, is it more dress than sports, or more sports than dress?

Jon, Thank you for that link. Very cool. ;D Was thinking about selling a few watches to get another SS sports model. But after reading that article, just may keep what I have.

To me, it seems the AT can go either way. Depends on the bracelet/strap & dial color. It is definitely dressy when compared to the SMP divers.

Well, I'm sure I'm going to be in the minority on this. I voted more sports. Yes the AT is dressy, but I remember reading the article in jon's link a while back, and posting that a watch doesn't have to have a rotating bezel, and weigh 4 pounds to be a sports watch. The AT has the heart of a lion, and the ruggedness of watches we equate with the sports relam. The fact it does this in a package that allows it to go with a suit does not lessen these capabilities.

The AT (Black dial) is a dress watch to me(but a very tough one), in combination with a brown leather strap. (i want to buy that watch + strap in the future...) If you have the steel bracelet.. it is more sport/dress, but not Sport or Dress.. they combine.

i voted for more dress watch, but make no mistake.. this watch is way tougher than it looks. given that it is 150m WR, you cabn use it fore any sports activity including diving. mamas

One of the reasons I love the AT is I think it can go either way, but I like it more as a dress watch

I voted more dress than sports, but really... the AT has been proven to be one tough watch.
