I was wondering and I've never seen this question posed peyote, but is there any way you can determine where your watch was first sold by the serial number? There are records kept for these watches when they are sold, I was just wondering if there was any way to tell, maybe to what location they were first shipped by Rolex? Don't know, was just thinking.

Not to my knowledge. Rolex likely knows, but they don’t share that data.
About the only fool proof way to know would be the warranty card or slip that accompanied the watch when it was originally sold. That would list the AD.

Me too. I know the serial number and date stamp on the old 1665s and 1680s had little correlation to the date sold. Many old subs were sold up to 5 years after they were made. Modern watches should be a different story as they don’t sit on the shelves for long, if at all. The random serial numbers are a pain in the ass. Impossible for us mere mortals to tell.
