Man, another great Reference episode. The DRSD is still my exit watch, but will likely never happen unless the planets align and 1) I get an unexpected inheritance and 2) it happens while there is a vintage watch value correction. I’d have jumped on the new red SD at 42mm if it weren’t for the cyclops. I’ve tried a friend’s on and love it but to me the cyclops (which I’ve learned to like on other models) just doesn’t belong on the SD. Who knows, one day I may have to get over that and buy one because the size is perfect and I’ll likely never be able to afford a DRSD. Thanks for sharing Pete and great to see you around again my friend.

The DRSD has nearly doubled in price since I sold mine. The whole vintage market is in the stratosphere now. Just crazy some of prices I see for bog standard 5513s these days let alone the more exotic stuff. I wasn’t too fussed with the cyclops on the SD50 but I have to say, my eyes appreciate it these days.👍

LOL The vintage market has gone nuts and filled with a bunch of shady characters too, so it’s a minefield that I’m not willing to cross any longer.

Probably one of the best references I have ever seen on any watch. Just checking back to have a look at the video as well. Great to see you, Pete, and thanks for posting this!
Cheers, Carl
