Sinn U1 You're killing me Carl! I keep going back and forth between this on the U50, but I have time to decide. All of my watch fund account is tagged for a watch I have on order right now. So I'll have to wait for next year's bonus or sell something before I can buy anything else.

So the difference between the U1 (41mm) and U50 (44mm) is case size I take it.

Baco Noir knowing your tasted in watches, I would definitely go for the U1. While I agree that Sinn did an amazing job, scaling down to the U50 considering they greatly reduced the thickness as well as the case width, I don't think you would regret the U1. It is definitely the heaviest watch I have ever had on my wrist, but that just adds to it's attraction for me. Of course, bragging rights and general conversation about the heft and the 1000m water resistance just add to the overall pleasure. By far the more "toolish" of the two!

CHIP I love this NOMOS. I am pretty sure that if I had got this Cali dial, I might even still have mine!

CHIP I love this NOMOS. I am pretty sure that if I had got this Cali dial, I might even still have mine! Thanks, carl. It’s one of those watches I should wear more, and every time I put it on I question myself why I don’t. It’s likely to be with me forever because it was a gift from timeless and NOMOS, and I wore it while touring the manufacture in Glashütte. I’ve sold too many watches I had history with, I’ll keep this one. The monetary value isn’t enough to give up the sentimental attachment to it.

I expect I'll be getting a Nomos too (or at least a picture of one if it's still on order) Friday too - don't know if it will be a CA dial or not, as I left that choice up to her. Either way, I'll be happy!
