The glow of that display is lovely! I can imagine how cool it would look at night in the flight deck. A true tool watch for pilots right there. I hope Breitling remains focused on "Instruments for professionals" in their latest attempt to appeal to the masses. I want the brand to do well but the more I compare these watches to some of what's currently offered on their website the sadder it is.

As far as the Aerospace, can they service the movement in case it conks out? That E65062 for instance was made for only 2 yrs afaik and that's 20 yrs ago. It's movement is Breitling caliber 65, base ETA 998.332 . You'd think if necessary Breitling could just replace the movement? Don't think ETA makes 998.332 any more.

priamo That's a good question, I wonder as well. I'm not sure for how long Breitling supplies parts for their watches. Maybe if the base movement is very similar some watchmakers would have the parts and could do a more in depth component replacement. I recall seeing a video like this for a Seiko kinetic. The latter could be a hassle though but for existing owners it's worth the trouble. One can expect to ship a watch internationally for that level or service, just like the bracelet restorations with Michael Young in Hong Kong.

Well, for those who visit the Breitling forum I moderate over at WatchUseek you have likely noted the change in direction taken by the new Georges Kern administration. In my view, that new direction is unfortunate for the brand and most certainly for the brand's traditional customer base such as myself. I have opined and written about the subject quite often and won't bore our WWF readers with a repetition. I do indeed have valid concerns about parts and service now and in the future adding to my decision to only consider pre-owned specific pieces for purchase consideration. In any event, here are a couple of archived high res 16X10 dial feature shots to begin what we hope will be a safe and happy new year!!! Kind Regards, Ron

Well said! In fact, when I was at the AD picking up my Omega from service I wanted to see what watches were in stock. Although I never bought from them this AD (the owners) have known me since the mid 2000s. Anyway, she mentioned how the brand has changed since the acquisition and to not buy a new one. That revised logo that was once just a marking on the crown doesn't work on the dial for me. So I did exactly that, got my pre-owned, discontinued piece and couldn't be happier. Took this the day of my visit.
