For a few years now, I have been following various posts on the forums and Instagram about Junghans watches. Thanks to Russell Jewellers here in Richmond, BC, I finally got to see many models in real life. They only started to carry the brand a couple months ago. When I saw the Meister Telemeter in real life, I was blown away. I saw it at last week, and could not get it out of my mind. I was very lucky to get a good trade in on a gold ring I have been trying to figure out how to sell for a long time. And he also took my Squale, which I really like, but know it will not get wrist time since I got the Ollech & Wajs C-1000. And for that one, I managed to finally let the Breitling Norton go, and got a very fair bit of cash. Anyway, I learned a lot in the past few days. The Junghans has an ETA 2892-2, assembly Dubois Depraz 2030, which makes it a Modular Chronograph. I never had a clue what that even meant, and was a bit skeptical. Until I found out that the watchmaker at my AD, who I have known for years, thinks very highly of this movement, is able to service it as well. With that endorsement, my doubts were gone. It has also been great learning about the Junghans brand. I read all I could about this watch, which was introduced in 2014. And watched all the videos I could. Unusual for such an impulsive guy like me! Here are some pics I took this afternoon. More to come later on, of course:

carl Congrats! I'm a huge fan of Chronograph watches, especially vintage styled pieced. Looks like 1940s styling kind of, either way it's beautiful! Being able to see the movement is a huge bonus.

Congratulations!
I’ve always liked that brand and I almost picked one up once. Timeless had a panda white grey in their pre-owned section last year.

Thanks CHIP I always admired the brand, but only online. I was really excited when we got a Junghans AD a few weeks ago. Didn't take me long to take advantage!

Thanks CHIP I always admired the brand, but only online. I was really excited when we got a Junghans AD a few weeks ago. Didn't take me long to take advantage! This is the one I almost bought. I assume at top it’s a power reserve? No clue what’s at the bottom. Or, I assume at bottom is a power reserve? No clue what’s at the top. Lol.
