I'm done with these Invictas, go ahead call me a basher. I just can't buy anymore of these poor quality watches. Every one seems to have some problem.

It took Jim buying 1,543,685 Invictas to figure this out. For the price, they're still not bad watches.

Whoa hold on there, every one I sold to you and your friends were BNIB and at very discounted prices. I'm speaking from a personal point of view and giving my opinion. There are plenty of people who love them and have no problems. I'll give a few examples of the things I don't like which is what I feel are quality problems.
The 99xx series (Swiss Auto) while it does have sel and solid bracelet links, I can't stand the use of the screw/tube which hold the bracelet the the case, just a very poor design in my opinion. Also almost every model I've owned has a different size date window magnifier and different date fonts the worst being the 9938A and the best being the 9937A. While the ETA movement is just fine I can't get past the poor bracelet attachment and Invictas lack of customer service after the sale, in all fairness this CS varies from customer to customer.
The 89xx series (Japan Auto) the movement doesn't hack which is a big turn off to me, others are not bothered by this, but me I hate it. The Miyota movement runs way to fast infact so fast its silly and from what I understand is difficult to regulate. I realize that the movement isn't the best but a watch that gains upward of +20/sec a day is useless to me. Also its been pointed out by many that often this series has date alignment problems with the magnifier not to mention the date magnifier hardly works at all, and the lack of a properly aligned bezel which needs a wrench to be turned. I know its a very inexpensive watch but a few improvements would go a long way for Invicta.
The 93xx series (Swiss Quartz) very much like the 89xx series as far as bracelet and case are concerned and again a different size date magnifier is used which is just little better the the 89xx's but not even close to the 99xx's. The biggest problem is the movement is not tight, what I mean by this is that the second hand will move on the dial when the watch is moved, its a very slight movement but still it moves, I find this to be a sign of a weak sloppy movement.
I could go on and on about what others have said good and bad, for me I'm looking now for long term watches not short term gratification. With all that said yes I believe Invictas are worth the money paid remember their cheap replicas of Rolex and thats the truth.
I would like to point out again any and all of the watches I sold to Chip and his friends were BNIB with full Invicta Warranty and I've never mislead anyone about anything concerning any watch I've sold. I've never been contacted by anyone with a complaint on any watch I've sold them, not being exactly what I said it was. Every sale I've made has been honest and I've never had a problem or complaint from a buyer.

The only Invictas i have bought are a mens and ladies japanese divers. My opinion is that there are very nice for the money. My 8926 is +5, and I havnt had any prolems, the lady diver is about the same. the finish isnt the best but for under $100 I think they are really nice watches to switch it up a bit. But I would much rather have 1 SMP than 15 8926's, I would never have more than one Invicta but for a nice beater, it gets the job done.

I bought my wife a 9940 (womens 9937) and she's beat the pi$$ out of it. It's still running strong. It started gaining about 30 seconds a day recently, but I regulated it last week and it's spot on now. Weird. For $250, it's a nice beater for her. I would have liked to have picked up a ladies Tudor Sub for her, but those aren't the easiest thing to find....so this did the trick and MUCH cheaper.

Hey guys all I was saying is their nice cheap everyday knock arounds not long term watches. The quality needs alot of improvment and who knows maybe then Invicta will be the company it says it is. Look just watch shobnbc once and I think you'll get the hint about Invicta, its like used car salesman but they sale watches. They promise a good deal on a great product, but when you get it home the screws fall out.

Eaaaaasy Cowboy! I don't think Chip was accusing you of anything. The one I bought from you is in 1,000 pieces as I purchased it with plans for an experiment. Anyone know how to put a Miyota movement back together? Is this one yours, Sam? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
