How's this for a bit of nostalgia? As a WIS in constant pursuit of the next acquisition goal, I find myself spending more time looking at this brand again despite the obvious frustrations so many are faced with. Considering an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore or Hublot Big Bang Unico as the motivation piece sort of made me appreciate Rolex again. I complied a lengthy list of reasons, but only time will tell what I decide. Paying over $30k CAD for a steel Daytona isn't something I could ever see myself doing with the aforementioned options available. If there's a day where I could buy a 126616LV at MSRP from an AD plus tax without waiting an eternity I would totally make this happen! Image from monochromewatches.com I'm just a huge fan of versatile watches. Things which fit into any setting, can easily endure daily use, and that I could wear during water sports such as lane swim or jetski riding without any worries. So grateful I kept my 116710LN and all of the Rolex accessories I've collected over the years despite previously losing interest in the brand. Even a 116610LN would be a nice addition to my collection. Anyway, here some picture of my watch from years ago which are making it harder for me to not consider giving it some wrist time.

I’m with you on pricing. For me, it’s only an MSRP purchase or used below MSRP. The white gold sub on the second hand market is now going for 20-25% below MSRP. I’m waiting to see if it drops further or if I get a call from Peter for the Daytona.
