Hi guys, here are just a couple of pics showing my two latest buys: The first is a kinda 'Love it or Hate it' watch - some people feel the 'Dirk Pitt' on the dial is a bit OTT, while others actively seek out this model. I like it and that's all that really matters, right? I felt that if I was buying a Doxa Sub then it HAD to be an orange dial and, yes, I'm a big Cussler fan! ;D. The Doxa is a 'solid, chunky' feeling watch - just how I like my divers to feel, also the lume is VERY good indeed. The second watch is one I debated for a while over. I have wanted a skeleton watch for a while now but couldn't justify a watch from one of the 'Great Houses' as I very rarely will wear such a watch so I started looking at more affordable ones and Rotary seemed to my mind to be a decent marque for reasonable money. So I began looking at Rotary skeleton watches for around the £60 - £120 mark but on closer inspection they looked, well.......small and cheap. Then I found this Rotary and I really liked it right away. It is quite large at about 40mm inc. crown and is part of a Limited Edition (No.372/500) worldwide and even came with it's own personal cherrywood (I think!) Rotary watch winder that rotates both ways - a nice piece to go with the watch IMO. Sorry for the crappy pics guys and feel free to comment on either watch - good or bad! Regards - Neil.

Congrats on the new additions Neil! I'm a big Clive Cussler fan myself, so I think the Dirk Pitt on the dial is kinda cool.

Thanks for the comments guys much appreciated. It's good to see some different views on these - a case of different strokes for.........you know what I mean! It'd be quite boring if we all liked the exact same things. Hey Neil, I think the Rotary is cool,I like the romans. Love the Doxa!! Agreed,an orange dial is a must on one. Well done! How does the bracelet feel? Looks very comfortable. I have to say Mike that the 'Rice bead' bracelet is one of the most comfy that I have ever worn and even with such a heavy case the watch still stays put! Very chuffed with both watches ;D

I think the Rotary is gorgeous, although I would prefer Arabic, but that's just me. May I ask the what movement is in it, approximate price, and the WR?
Enjoy them both, and wear them in good health!

May I ask the what movement is in it, approximate price, and the WR? I have no idea of the movement but it's a fast beat and keeps great time, somewhere between £300-£400 and it's WR to 50m but it's not the type of watch I'd wear for watersports! Neil, how is the doxa dirk pitt different from the regular ornage doxa?? and does it have a sapphire crystal or acryllic? thanks mamnas Hi mamas, AFAIK there is no difference apart from the dial markings kinda similar to the Red and White dialed Rolex 1680 Subs from the 1970's. There may be some difference on the caseback markings as well but I'm not 100% sure about this. The Dirk Pitt model also came with an orange Rubber Doxa strap as well as the 'rice bead' bracelet and slightly different packaging (I think!). The crystal is a slightly domed Sapphire. Cheers - Neil.
