What would you walk into an AD today and buy? For me it would hands down be the 126610LV Submariner. I've always liked the concept, since 2003 actually. This became an aspirational piece for me in my late teens. With the better clasp, bracelet (solid centre links), and a ceramic bezel this will stand the test of time with minimal parts requiring a change. Image from google How about you? If you could walk into an AD right now and buy anything you wanted at MSRP, what would it (or they) be?

126000 36mm Tiffany Blue dial datejust Photo from Rolex.com It’s Laurie’s 60th Bday in November this year and it’s her favorite watch. I’m probably still going to but it on the grey market, but waiting to see if the price drops more.

Baco Noir The Tiffany blue is very nice! You only live once, so do it and I'm sure she'll appreciate this! I'm trying to see what my threshold is for the grey market. It's going to be my only way to get the 126610LV but I also don't want to pay Royal Oak Offshore prices for it. I'm hoping you find the right deal or seller to make this happen!

If only availability is no object then this. I miss my 39 but 36 is just perfect.. If cost and availability or no object, then the root beer. I have not tired of looking at this since it debuted..

muckymark Nice choices! You can never go wrong with an Explorer. For the Game's current models, I really like this two-tone version.

ducati Two really nice choices there! That gold Daytona is stunning and historically significant. The contrasting subdials makes it even more legible and stand out as a chronograph.

I just love the exotic subdials and paul newman vibe. I already have a Daytona Ghost and Superman, so a YG PM Daytona would be great in the collection. Bummed the 116508 JM was retired before I could get one. The new Golden Le Mans is strictly off catalog like the rainbow, so it's a dream piece. The Titanium Yachtmaster is a 1 watch / per boutique / per year allocation. I doubt I'll get one anytime soon especially since I just got the GRNR.

The Paul Newman vibes will certainly make these worth a small fortune when ever they come up for auction.
I didn't realize this about the Titanium Yacht Master had such low allocation numbers per AD. Makes me curious how many of the 126610LV's each dealer might get per year.

Makes me curious how many of the 126610LV's each dealer might get per year. The Ti YM is the hardest to get catalog Rolex right now. It was the WG Le Mans until it was discontinued. HQ Rolex tells each ORJ owner who the piece should go to, but ultimately the owner can veto the recommendation. If it's a Rolex boutique, then HQ pretty much pre allocates the piece before the AD receives the watch. The 1st new SS GRNR allocations were all picked by the Boss above the store manager. So if you got a SS GRNR at release in April, you were hand picked. The Ti YM is really hard to get at all the ADs I've worked with. Starbucks - 126610LV is more common since it has been out since 2020. I've received 3 total allocations of the 126610LV at different ADs, but turned all 3 watches down. If I had accepted, it would have blocked me from the allocations I wanted. Per year, I'm guessing 50-65 Starbucks in each big AD.

Wow, very informative! Thanks for that and this is good to know at least regarding more of the one I want in circulation. I'm not sure when or if Rolex ever made a Titanium watch before, so I can see how this would stand out to collectors.

The info is just from my ADs. I am sure it is different in other parts of US and the world. I just ask the manager and she shares some info sometimes. You should be getting your Starbucks very soon. Keep in touch and try to visit often. They have many watches in the back. Be friendly with the manager if possible. Your name should pop in their brain when it comes time to allocate pieces.

Appreciate this and the advice! I did reach out to the largest AD here a few months back and they've said they're no longer taking names for it.
I don't visit AD's as used to back in the day, but I'll have to potentially try this and see.
