You have to sell all your watches. Every single one of them. At fair market value. The twist is that you have to spend all the money that you have raised and BUY JUST ONE WATCH. You can't have any significant amount of money left over.
What would it be?
Hannes is exempt, as we determined that he has 573 Rolexes and really there is no watch that cost that much. LOL

I would take all that cash and get one ROLEX. Probably this one.

I can't think of one watch that is in that pricepoint that I would want as my only watch. I can think of a few vintage Rolex (DRSD for one ) that would fit the bill, but as my one and only watch I don't see that being too practical. I'd rather have a 16610 and lose the rest of the money than buy some dolled up gold & diamond watch just to use up all the money.

i may go for a platinum rolex day-date with serrated bezel.. not the smooth type. I would like a plain dial with NO diamonds etc.. as it would be my only watcgh it would have to be tough, dependable, wr to at least 100m and capable of everyday wear and smart wear without having to be worried about babying it. mamas

I like that sub for a few reasons. The gold dial is awesome and really looks great on a TT watch, the Sapphire markers are also a very nice touch to the gold dial and blue bezel, I'm not a big fan of the diamonds and could live without them, but I've never seen this dial done by Rolex without the diamonds. If you've never seen this watch in person take a look you may change you mind about it.

Jim....I wasn't directing my comment toward that watch in particular. I was just making a generalized comment toward all precious metal/gem watches. And yes I've seen that watch in person....way too much bling for me.

I totally understand Sam and like I said diamond watches really aren't for me either, but I just love the gold dial, its so nice. I would really like a TT Sub with a gold dial without all the diamonds, but I've never seen one like that, also it would have to have solid links. I ain't paying 7K for a hollow bracelet.

also it would have to have solid links. I ain't paying 7K for a hollow bracelet. With solid gold center links, you'd be paying more like $10K for it.

Comex--but I think I'm short. How much do the Comex Subs go for these days?

Comex--but I think I'm short. How much do the Comex Subs go for these days? I'm really not sure since it's way out of my league. I thought at one time I saw figures of 30 to 50K,but that could be off.

The Patek Phillipe World Time in platinum would be my choice - but I'm going to have to collect more watches to sell to get that one
