Hey Steve! I'm not really a chrono guy, but I like that first one. They both have a little RO look to the case.

Hi steve.. love the IWC ingenieur.. this is one of the watches along with the rolex sub, omega speedmaster pro and pp calvatra that i would call a classic. This particular version has supposedly an inhouse IWC mechanism , although they have designed it and outsourced it to ETA. I actually like the none chrono version, and the finishing on this watch is amazing.. have seen one in person and it is a really great watch. I certainly think that it is a worthy competitor to the exp.1 in WIS eyes. Dont know much about the chrono.. but i would go for the none chrono version. Good to see you posting here again! mamas

Steve...even if your wife decides to be "cheap" and not go for the chrono, I think you'll still have a merry Christmas. Did you break out the Daytona yet, or is that next month?

I gotta say the chrono looks pretty sweet. Think I'd go for that one if I had a choice.

Well ! I know it's one of these don't know which one though, which one to you guys prefer? steve I would in this particular case not hesitate a second ... and take the NON Chrono one !! even if I am a chronograph guy an IWC "Ingenieur" has never been a chronograph ... and should not be ... Here is my vintage one from the late 50s with its wonderfull 8521 pellaton movement cheers JM

hi mamas, you wouldn't believe how many times i've changed my mind between the two, i liken the automatic (non chrono) to a Seadweller , a real tool within the IWC lineup and as you say the first in house movement, but I love the chrono design/face .
sam its our anniversary on monday 19th , wrist shots to follow!
