Mine was given to me by a student that nobody believed in. I worked hard with him before and after class when everybody thought that he was going to fail. Well... I did not accept that. And after a lot of hard work and coaching he became a top performer. And he gave me that as a gift because "he saw how much I love watches". He said "I know it's not much, and I know you might never wear it, but I really wanted to give you this as a thank you for believing in me when nobody else did." and that's the story... And me... I am a vain, materialistic...two tone hater SOB that never ever put it on the wrist.... Thats a touching story Chip A inexpensive watch with a story like that, beats the heck out of an expensive watch anyday IMO

i had a bond quartz until a couple of weeks ago.. sold it to an internet store for $700 in uk. mamas

I believe it was $700 USD....which is still a good deal for Mamas. 700GBP would have been robbery

martyn. sam is right.. i got £350 for it.. ie $700 ...£700 would have been more than daylight robbery considering it was 5 years old!!
