This is slowly turning into the G Shock forum. I have an itch for a Frog of some sort. I don't need any fancy schmancy collector model....just something I can wear and not be afraid to beat up. I like the Triple Crown models. Is there a particular one I should look for? I'd probalby stick to black. I like this one Seiya sells. Are there Japan models and then other models made elsewhere? seiyajapan.com/product/G-GW-200TC-2JR

Of the 3 triple crown models, is one more desirable than the other? Navy, Red, or Green strap?

Hi Sam: I have the red one that I got from one of the Internet sites... for $159 if I remember correctly... It is a very nice piece for the money. I am thinking about getting adapters and a black zulu strap for it... so that I can make it all black when I want to... By the way... I have question for you too. I saw your picture that Chip posted on the "lounge" and thought you looked very familiar. Did you go to school in Denton or in Houston by chance? Trying to figure out if we met before.

Sorry....went to High School in Dallas and college in Waco. I did live in Houston for a year but it was in the 70's and I was 2. ;D

Hi Sam I have the Frog with the dark blue(almost looks black) strap. It looks just like the one in your pic. Awesome watch I see no need paying a high price for a collectors Frog when the TC is the same. Besides, the TC will be up there with the Brazilian, Helios, and the Black Spots Froggies one day. You're gonna love it Be sure to post pics when you get it. Bob ;D BTW, the watch is big and it wears big. Also, if you look at the back pic on Seiya's site. mine is exactly the same.

Thanks Bob! I'm leaning toward either the blue or green strap. The red is cool, but just not me. BTW, the watch is big and it wears big How much larger is it than the DW6900? The DW6900 measures 50mm from 9-3 o'clock.

I don't have a 6900, but I would have to say the Frog is bigger. Man I gotta get on the ball. When you get your Frog, you'll have 8 G's and I've only got 6 LOL!!!!!!

sam, i just received the navy blue frog yesterday, the same as in your picture. i initially was going to go with the green, then changed to the blue, seems to go with much more than fatigues. its very dark, and at first glance , one would think its black.i bought it at the same place you got the others. in researching these, i also wanted an all black, but these models, if available, are much more than the 164.00 dollar price point, i bought this for. great watches for the little money you pay.also, if you want to change the band to a black one, i believe you can pick one up at casio sales and service center, for around 22.00 dollars...............take care everyone , glenn

I'm leaning toward the navy blue Frog and noticed there are several model numbers. GW-200TC-2V on a lot of internet web shops GW-200TC-2JR on Seiya's site GW-200TC-2CR then I found this one on an eBay auction Are all of the Triple Crown Frogs made in Japan? Does anyone know the difference in the "V" "JR" and "CR"? Or is there one? Antonis? ;D
