Little bit excited (sorry if this is OT - but it's photo related). Picked up a new lens for my Nikon D70 - the Sigma 70-300 1:4.5-5.6 APO DG which apparently is a good 'entry level' tele-zoom. But, get this - it can take 1:2 macro shots at 0.95m (about 3ft) - so I am going to try some macro's on this at 300mm (trypod of course) of a few watches. I hope to post some results up by end of this evening... I actually got this for wild-life / bird photo's (all sorts ) when I'm off to West Africa on Tuesday for a week. All the best. M

Here are a couple of shots - well the same shot, the second have some PS effects added: These were taken at 1/1.6sec - f/22, 1.5m away Here is a close-up at 100% crop: I think this will do me just fine for telephoto shots. And with a bit of PP they can be sharpened up nice All the best - maybe more shots later.. I may post one of these to the general forum as well as they are a couple of nice Breitlings (only ones I have at the moment!)
