So over the weekend I got this Its the canon Rebel XT 350 D. I havnt even read the instructions yet so dont expect any pics yet. I got it at Frys electronics in Las Vegas and it was amazing because the guy who sold it to me actually knew about photography!! I wish the watch salespeople were as knowlegbeble as this guy. I wasnt even really expecting to get a new camera, actually I was going to get a video camera but the I got convinced into this ;D ;D. So now I am going to go read the 500 page manual and try to figure it out Hopefully I am going to get a macro lens in the next few months.

I don't know how to use it. All I know how to do is to set the white balance for tungsted (have no idea how to do custom WB) and I figured out how to set it on ISO 100. That's about all I know. For the macro stuff I bought a set of macro rings made by Quantaray. 30 bucks or so.

Thats about it I wish they made a SLR for dummies book (they probably do actually ;D) I know that ISO is the sensitivity of the film and it kinda works opposite from exposure. The lower the ISO the longer exposure you need but the less noise you get. That about sums up my photography knowledge. F Stop it determines your depth of field and it is lens dependent.

Excellent camera - much better choice than a video cam
