Hi all,
Bought a Navitmer World a year ago, and about 6 months ago, I smacked (by accident) my wrist against a door frame........"Ouch, I hear you all say".
The watch now has a very hollow sound when you tap the glass - makes it sound like a fake and i mean it sounds really hollow. If I take the watch off my wrist, after about 45 mins, the sounds disappears - looks to me if "the glass/bezel" pressurised itself. If then after I out the watch back on, after about 30-45 mins, the distinct hollow sound come back.
Sent it back twice to an AD..responses were:
Navitimer Worlds have "plastic faces - therefore should sound like that"
Eventually, sent it off the breitling - but they say they cant find anything wrong with it - I expect as the watch is sent in a box, the issue is intermittent if you are wearing it or not.
Must admit, now coming the end of my tether.
Anyone out there have any advice or experiences of this before.
All comments much appreciated.

Welcome to the fourm!! I don't know all that much about Breitlings, but I'm sure one of our regular Breitling guys will chime in shortly.

I'm not a Breitling guy, but I'll try to offer something. If I understand your post, the watch has a different sound when you tap the crystal when it's been on your wrist than it does when it's been off for a while. I'm not sure this has anything to do with the impact the watch had, unless you know that this "sound change" didn't happen before the impact. To me it sounds like the wtach is heating up on your wrist, and the pressure inside the watch is changing with that heat, making the sound different. I don't see any cause for concern, because if this is happening the watch would still be water resistant. Have you had the dealer do a pressure check? If they can, this is what I would recommend as a start and if it checks okay, I wouldn't worry about it. Cheers
