Hi people, Just may be in the market for a mid level 3rd watch. I like a few Oris and have also seen a few nice Tissot's too. Question for the panel is simply which with reference to mechanical watches are the better watch for the money? If you had say £500 to spend, which watch (automatic not quartz) would you go for and why? I can get around 20% +/- on both brands so what's the best "bang for buck" as they say? Pro's / cons of each? Any pics of course welcome

Buy the one you like....they both use virtually the same movements & both have similar resale values.

depends on what type of watch you want? since you have a jlc dress watch and are going to get an omega bond dive watch, it seems that you would be buying one of these for the sake of spending the £500 you have coming to you on excahnge of your PO watch from the dealer... why not get a decent chrono instead? omega / tag / hamilton?? certainly at £500 you could get the hamilton chrono which is better in my view than either tissot or oris.

I think Oris makes a slightly better watch than Tissot.. But both are good brands
