hello, my wife and I have aquire an very old lady elgin watch from her great grandmother. where does one go about finding out what it is worth and than where to sell it? any info would help...thanks jim

You could take it to an independent watchmaker who specializes in older watches. Also, keep an eye on Ebay for similar watches and maybe get over to TimeZone.com for some info. Google the name and model and see what comes up. You would probably be surprised.
If you must sell the heirloom, don't do it until you know exactly what you have. Plenty of rare and collectible watches are sold cheaply.

Hi Jim, Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately ladies vintage wrist watches are typically not very valuable at all. Unless it has some special rarity, or is studded with gems, then it won't be worth a great deal likely.
