So I've been wearing big clunky tuna cans on a strap for more than two years now. At first the 44mm luminor case felt big compared to my Rolex ExpII, but quickly felt 'normal' and the Rolex started to feel well.... small. Then I got the PAM210 and at 45mm, it wears smaller than the luminor PAM005 (or my old PAM01) because the case is much slimmer. Then I got my RXW a while back and at 47mm it's seemingly a BIG watch. And yet, after a couple of weeks of wearing it and the 210 most, when I go back to my PAM005, the 44mm case seems well, small. Same with my two Archers which are both in the low 40s as well: However, they all serve a purpose and they all get worn in rotation, including the two monsters. I just find it amazing that say five years ago I though a 40mm watch was stretching the boundaries of comfort and good taste. Amazing how perspectives change.

My watches range from 37 to 43mm. I don't wear the 43mm much, but do wear 42mm regularly. I don't find the transition between the sizes that difficult. I noticed it more when I first started wearing the bigger watches.

I've jumped about all over the place when it comes to watch size. Started off with the Mini-Sub at 32mm, then onto the GMT Master II... then got bitten by the 44mm PAMs.. they didn't sit well on me and now I've discovered home is right in the mid-size camp at 36mm-40mm

Funny isn't it! You make a good point here. My 112, speedmaster and aero are all ver well-sized watches. But....whenever I swap to the seamaster it feels kinda small, for a little bit anyway, until I get used to it. But, it's a shame... I just can't bring myself to wear anything smaller than 40-42mm. I would really like a nice vintage omega or IWC, but the size just doesn't work.

I'm the same as Otis, I most often wear a 44mm Panerai and when I go back to even a 41mm watch, my wrist feels all "wrong". You do forget about it after a while but when I go back to the size and weight of the Panny, it does always feels good.
