Exclusive preview to WWF!! Will be showing this other places next week. The Reference 1440The Reference 1440 features a 42mm case which is made from 316L grade stainless steel and is classic in design, complete with an onion crown, a sapphire front crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside and a display back, allowing the movement to be viewed. The dial is of the guilloche style, with intricate patterns and bold Roman numerals, which is perfectly paired with heat-blued Moon-style hands. This is a perfect dress watch for those desiring a larger size. The Reference 1440 utilizes an ETA/Unitas 6498 movement with the sub-seconds dial positioned at 6 o'clock. The 6498 is a tried and true, robust, hand-wound movement providing accurate time keeping and a power reserve of 48 hours. Ref. 1440 shown on the standard black strap. Ref. 1440 shown here on a brown gator strap. Thanks for looking and for all the support I receive here.

Wow, very nice indeed. The blued hands are perfect with that dial. Now I'm missing my Archer V1 I sold to Al. Hmmmmm..... I was thinking of selling. Based on the quality of the workmanship and the current price of the "known name" units currently out there, I'd say it's at least doubled, maybe tripled in price. Really it's not for sale, it's just too darn nice. Wore it last time I visited my physician (another WIS) and his eyes popped out. Completely disregarded the 8" bleeding gash on my face and closely examined the A1. Only down side is that the strap doesn't work too well for me, about 1/4" too short, which doesn't reflect anything about the watch. I just emailed Al about a pilot watch. Got the bug! Thanks Blingie Thanks Al
