It's been hotter than the hinges of hell here in New England the past few days. That means I wear the TT Blue Sub as I don't want to sweat all over my leather bands on the other watches.

You know, I hear people talk about leather bands not being "suitable" for some climates and weather conditions - maybe people sweat differently than me but I'm not sure I follow this. I don't own a watch on a bracelet so aside from the Master Compressor Memovox they are all on leather bands (that one is on a rubber strap). I've never had an issue with a strap wearing out particularly fast or getting really skunky from wearing it in hot and humid weather. I consider them a consumable so no matter what the weather I'm usually wearing a leather strap. In fact I've only had to replace one strap in the last 6 years - from my GO. The dye began to leech out of the strap (in the middle of the winter BTW) so I put a used JLC strap on it and it's all good!

Hot, sticky weather, with little air circlation is just the formula to get the sweat glands pumping. I ruin watch bands.

I find that my wrists have a tendency to swell a little when it's hot and that a strap accommodates that situation better than a unforgiving metal bracelet does.

I find that my wrists have a tendency to swell a little when it's hot and that a strap accommodates that situation better than a unforgiving metal bracelet does. For me, I find they fit great then start to stretch a little and I cant keep the watch in the right place on my wrist. With the Archer Aero it now slides down with the crown digging into my hand. One hole in the strap is too loose the next hole way too tight.
