Does anybody know of a good way to clean a leather strap? My white contrast stitching is now a brown low contrast stitching and cleaning it with a toothbrush and shampoo did not give me good results. Any tips?

You're probably going to need something with bleach in it to lighten the stitching but bleach might ruin the leather. What I would do is try some clorox and a q-tip and after I ruined the strap I'd go out and buy a new one. Problem solved. ;D

Cleaning the stitching on a strap is damned near impossible. I would guess about 99.99% of straps are stitched with some form of polyester thread and once they discolour, they ain't coming back.
You 'could' do as Warren suggests but dilute the clorox or whatever in a big way... but my guess is you'll mess up the leather.

Thanks guys. I might try that, but I like the strap and I don't want to ruin it. Maybe a powered toothbrush and some whitening toothpaste?

If this is the $29 strap you got from Watch Prince, I'd just pick up a new one. You're probably going to ruin this one trying to clean it anyway LOL!

If you like the strap then just tell yourself that "brown is the new white".
