Mmmmmm hmmmmm.....and this is how the strap madness begins!! ;D Looks good on that black calf. The white stitching makes it less dressy.

That looks really sharp Mike! BTW congrats! How would you compare overall fit and finish of the new Panny Vs. a new Rolex?

Mike, this is the tip of the iceberg, strap-wise. The 88 looks great on tan as well as burgundy. Oh yeah, you can also dress it up with a black or brown gator too. So many straps, so little time.

That looks really sharp Mike! BTW congrats! How would you compare overall fit and finish of the new Panny Vs. a new Rolex? You know Warren, that was a question I had as well. I checked the 88 out closely. The 24 hr. hand lines up precisely with the 24 hr. markings. There is NO backlash when hacking the movement. The case finish is equal to any Rolex I've bought. I honestly can't find any area where PANERAI takes a back seat to Rolex in the fit and finish department. I do notice the rotor of the 7750 based movement spinning if one moves the wrist smartly, as compared to the 3xxx movements of the Rolex, but this is typical of the breed. If there is any nit to pick with the 88 it's that it does not have the jump hour feature of the GMT II, but I got along great without it for a long time with the 1675/16750 series. The dial is really a thing of beauty!! Photos realy don't do it justice. If anything it reminds me of the ornate vintage Rolex dials of a bigone era. This won't be my last PANERAI. A little comparison,

Great photo's Mike! I like the lume shots.
I think the Panerai has a greater flexibility when it comes to straps and bracelets whereas the RolexGMT you have there is pretty much restricted to its Oyster bracelet.
Cheers
