Hi Gang! I want to do a series of short (~ 3 min.) instructional or "How To:" videos for my business customers and post them on YouTube or some such nonsense. Is there a software package out there that is simple and easy and can help produce some nice results? Looking mainly for editing, adding titles, pic in pic and all the other things that made Cecil B DeMille great.
Since I know nothing, I was reading about Adobe's Photoshop Elements (IIRC) and since it's under $100 would probably go there unless some suggestions are tossed out.
Thanks much.

Unless the newer versions of Elements are quite different than mine, it doesn't do video that I know of. I use Roxio for my video editing purposes. The version I have now is from 2005, but the new equivalent would be Roxio Creator 2010. About $100, easy to use, and it has a full suite of applications. www.roxio.com/I find the video editing quite easy to use. Hope this helps. Edited to add a link of a very short video I made using my D90 and this software. Nothing special just a shot of a watch I have serviced recently....a small watch. That's a quarter I covered the movement with. Click HQ to see the video in the best format. Cheers, Al

How about using Windows Movie Maker? If you're using a PC you already have it so it's essentially free. It's very easy and the results are OK. Try it first and if it doesn't do the trick look at stuff like Roxio.

iMovie is very easy to use and has great result but it's a Mac only program. Ditto on that. My wife has used iMovie for tons of stuff. It's super easy and it turns out really nice. But it's Mac, so what do you expect.
