I think it was JJ who used the term comfort zone.. the number of watches which you feel complete, the number that you are truly comfortable with. If i buy any more than 5 or so, i feel as if i dont appreciate them.. they end up sitting in drawers etc and being a man of habit, i only ever wear 2-3 watches.. the SD being the most frequent wearer. what is your comfort zone for your collection and why? mamas

Well, I also find that about three of my watches get the lion's share of wrist time. They are the "regulars" if you will. Having said that I admit to having several pieces that hold a lot of sentamental value to me. My Rolex 1675,my fathers and grandfathers pocketwatches for example. Others,as I mentioned in another thread fill a niche in my "focus" of where I want my "collection" to go. I fall into the 11-15 catagory(barely) but for me,taken in total, that represents a nice place to be. There are a couple of pieces that I would one day like to add which would keep me in the same catagory, and make me feel "complete".

I voted 6-10. Right now, I seem to mainly wear 2 watches...Exp II & PO. Occasionally wear the Bond SMP. What's odd is that I'm beginning to lose the love for my white SMP GMT. Strange since it was my favorite for quite a while. Anyone want to buy a SMP GMT? Ultimately, I'm thinking I'd like my collection to end up like this... Explorer II Pepsi GMT II Sub Explorer I Bond PO Speedy Pro As you can see...I've got a long way to go! (edited....forgot to put a Speedy Pro in there. )

I voted 1-5. Been trying to get it down to 4 for a long time, but failed miserably. As many as I've had at one time or another, I never wore more than 3 on a regular basis.

I voted 1-5, but seriously I'm very comfortable with just TWO - and they BOTH must be Rollies....that is very important for me. There just might be room for a third one (the TT Daytona with rhodium dial) in the future. But for now these two will suffice and keep me very happy!! Saw the TT you have yesterday - beautiful

I voted 16-20 and I do that with one make of watch in mind. The odd thing is I could be content with just one watch, but the collector inside me keeps pushing my threshold.

the comfort zone i feel is only constrained by the size of my wallett Pleasure Costs>>and a new watch" just makes you feel good!!!" and there are so so many out there! do you need any further justification, often difficult in any emotional decision, which i feel any of our watches would be considered steve

I voted 6-10 and I have no idea why, when I think about it - I only wear one watch at a time so really 2-3 should do (one for work/dress, casual and sports) but in reality it's really closer to what Clifton said .

I voted 6-10 and will usually wear about six of those on a regular basis, of course earlier this year there was a time I had 22 watches at once.......sold alot of them cause its was getting to be a bit much It seems I'm averaging about 10 at the moment.

I think 7 is a good number for me. This is what would fill it out 1 SMP 1 Speedy (wish list) 1 Dress watch 1 Seiko Monster and 3 "other" watches that I rotate through
