I have a very trustworthy contact that works for one of the largest ADs in Dallas. Due to Panerai opening boutiques in the area, their license is being pulled. While this is bad for the AD, it could be good for somebody here that is looking for a great deal. He told me that they have several models at 20% off and some at 40% off. I am waiting on more info and what models exactly are being sold with that discount.

Going the Boutique route seems to be a trend among the most popular brands. As much as I enjoy visiting the Boutiques, if I can save 20-30% off a 4-5,000.00 watch, by buying at an independent AD, I'd be foolish to do otherwise. That's just me, though....

boutiques are simply a way to control the price.

All pricey but all good buys.
Tough to get discount on PAM those days.

Gee, since I wasn't able to draw a salary last year I didn't see anything in my price range of about $99.95... Do they offer no interest payments of say 10 bucks a month....

I agree with you 100% Kat. boutiques are simply a way to control the price. That's what the manager of the Omega boutique in Manchester told me.

They are out of my price range, plus I would have to pay 20% vat on arrival.

Just came back from Vegas and the "only" Rolex Boutique is being advertized in the taxis on their video systems. I think it was in the Wynn, but not sure.
The Rolex AD's, like so many other brands, have been great to many of us throughout the years. These actions just piss on the people who made the brand strong. Happens in general aviation, too. I hope more companies don't try to reinvent the wheel.

The customer service I experienced in that store was far inferior to every other watch store in Vegas and anywhere else for that matter.
