Well, my birthday isn't until next month, but I just couldn't wait. You know how it is. Y'all can probably figure out what it is, but I ain't telling.....yet. Oh...and a BIG thanks to Adam!!! Adam pm'd me with a tip to call Feldmar Watch Company in California. Spoke to a very knowledgeable guy who seemed to know absolutely everything about the watch off the top of his head. He offered a 26% discount with no haggling. Before I knew it, I was reading my credit card number to him. Hmmm....now I need to figure out what's going to go. Anyway, next week some time for me. The wait's gonna kill me. Better head out to the gym to take my mind off it. -Ben

So did you cave in on the B&R? Whatever it is...congrats & can't wait to see it. Well, I don't know if I'd use the word "caved." Wait. Yeah, I guess I did cave. I really like the square case design, but the 46mm size is just too big. So, I'm going with the 42mm BR03-92. Every time I'd start thinking about what I wanted next - or at least wanted now (as some other watches will probably be going to new homes to offset some of the $$$) - I found myself going to the Bell & Ross web site. You know, if you like real tool watches, they have some really terrific and interesting stuff. Anyone who hasn't, should check out their web site: www.bellross.com/So, Sam, yeah I caved. Can't wait to get it. I was told that they were getting some more in stock today and that they'd ship as soon as they came in. Should be next week. I can't wait! -Ben

The B&R Instrument Series all come with two straps - but which two you get seems to depend on which model. Mine comes with the rubber strap as well as a "synthetic canvas" tactical-type strap. Though it seems like some models come with a leather strap and the rubber strap. I know I'm going to like the rubber strap, but I've thought about eventually enquiring as to whether the guy at vintagerstraps.com can make one his gorgeous leather bands for a B&R. His straps are generally made for Panerai's, but his site says he can do other stuff. I think that one of those would look really nice on a watch like this. It would soften the industrial look a bit. I gotta get the darn thing first. -Ben

I'm sure Micah at www.vintagerstraps.com would make you a strap....and I agree it would look sharp on the B&R.
