Glad you're getting some well deserved rest between completing this. That watch is stunning by the way, my goodness. It looks rather nice in direct sunlight.

This is a great combination! The distressed leather really works with this watch. Also, the slide rule makes the ideal backdrop!

Robb This is how the packaging looked when I last ordered: Can't even remember when this was purchased, but it's almost full.

I like the design of that Ball watch. They're got some cool pieces generally speaking.

As priamo has confirmed, Omega is no longer issuing Extracts from the Archives. This is a true shame and has already been discussed, however, I for some reason didn't connect the fact that their decision could in some way, shape, or form be connected to this or to distance themselves from a potential future occurence. Only Omega and those involved in the decision would truly know, but this is indeed a shame for collectors seeking confirmation of the production year and country it was originally shipped to after leaving the factory.

Baco Noir I'll keep you posted as I've inquired about the product as I'm likely going to place an pre-order. Nicko Back in the day I used to do that too.

The Submariner is as popular as it is for a good reason. It's hard to want much else with one of those. The same is true for all in my opinion, past and present. At least you got to experience those other watches and will enjoy what you now have even more. After that Omega debacle at auction I'm skeptical even for examples such as the above: www.hodinkee.com/articles/everything-we-know-about-the-record-breaking-omega-speedmaster-caught-in-controversyNow this won't always be the case, and a great dealer like the one you found is always the way to go. For pieces like the 16600 I remember when they were new so to me this feels like a small advantage. If I were to start looking at Rolex watches from the 60s etc, I've got no clue.

That's a nice watch! I'm so happy to see various brands embracing the use of materials like ceramic. These watches should age very well.
