Well, I absolutely love it! I had the Breitling Avenger Seawolf a couple of times, almost the exact dimensions. Got used to the size very quickly. I have never been a practical guy, so no sense starting at 72 years of age! Not that I can afford one, or will likely ever own one. There is an excellent YouTube video by Watch Advisor, as shown by Rommel. At the end, they actually show the case disassembled. As far as aesthetics, I love the look. The symmetrical dial with no date especially. The bracelet and clasp are very well done, also shown in the video. Well, that's just me. Not for everyone, I see. And I am actually very happy with my O&M C-1000. A 39.5mm watch with 1000m water resistance.

Thanks CHIP I always admired the brand, but only online. I was really excited when we got a Junghans AD a few weeks ago. Didn't take me long to take advantage!

Baco Noir good luck with the rest of your trip. Can't be easy. Just thankful I don't travel much by air any more. Hope it's a smooth trip from here!

For a few years now, I have been following various posts on the forums and Instagram about Junghans watches. Thanks to Russell Jewellers here in Richmond, BC, I finally got to see many models in real life. They only started to carry the brand a couple months ago. When I saw the Meister Telemeter in real life, I was blown away. I saw it at last week, and could not get it out of my mind. I was very lucky to get a good trade in on a gold ring I have been trying to figure out how to sell for a long time. And he also took my Squale, which I really like, but know it will not get wrist time since I got the Ollech & Wajs C-1000. And for that one, I managed to finally let the Breitling Norton go, and got a very fair bit of cash. Anyway, I learned a lot in the past few days. The Junghans has an ETA 2892-2, assembly Dubois Depraz 2030, which makes it a Modular Chronograph. I never had a clue what that even meant, and was a bit skeptical. Until I found out that the watchmaker at my AD, who I have known for years, thinks very highly of this movement, is able to service it as well. With that endorsement, my doubts were gone. It has also been great learning about the Junghans brand. I read all I could about this watch, which was introduced in 2014. And watched all the videos I could. Unusual for such an impulsive guy like me! Here are some pics I took this afternoon. More to come later on, of course:

carl That thing looks great! Excellent choice you made there. Baco Noir Nice to see a Breitling on your wrist today! Thanks, Rommel. I did really well on this one. I have been trying to sell my Breitling Premier Norton for a while now. At the AD, we got talking about it. He told me that he could take it on a trade, and give me cash for the difference. It was actually a few hundred bucks more, figuring in the cost of the watch, than I would have got on private sale. And I wound up with a fantastic dive watch! I also have another one coming up, likely tomorrow, from the same AD. I knew once I got the O&M, the Squale would not get much wrist time. He is also deals in other jewellery. I have a gold ring which I took in to discuss with him about what I should be asking when I sell it. To my surprise, he is going to take it, and my Squale, in trade for the watch I am getting tomorrow! One that I have thought long and hard about. So, stay tuned for tomorrow's surprise!
