Thanh price was lower by $200,00. DAVIDSW price was lower by $100.00. So I decided to go with my AD. I think theRolex Company does not allow pricing quotes over the phone because these AD's will cut each others throats.

Well, Ron, I am very glad to hear that your watch is on the way. I can't wait to see the pics when it arrives. And I know you will keep us posted. BTW, did anyone mention to please post some pics as soon as you get it? Your attitude toward getting the gold Sub over the Day-Date was a help in inspiring me to get my new Cartier Tank Anglaise. I had been avoiding it somewhat, as I really thought that I wanted to stay with a more traditional Tank size. I went and tried on the Tank Anglaise XL, and I am absolutely loving it! I know how you will feel when you strap that gold Sub on your wrist! Cheers, Carl

I get more excited buying a new watch than a new automobile

When you think what the price of a gold sub would buy you in a new car it's no wonder your more excited! All you would get in the new car world would be something like a Ford Fusion where as your gold sub is far more exotic! I think I would rather spend the discount you got on the watch on a used car and have a new gold Rolex! Over ten years the rolex will stabilize in price where as the car will be worth next to nothing!

You know Kat, I was waiting for someone to pipe up and say they drove one! I know you know I was not meaning to be derogatory to the car. I actually really like Fords, prefer them to Chevys and such. It's funny though. I love cars, grew up driving some amazing ones as my uncle was a car nut and had some beauties but I have not owned a car for almost 21 years now but if I did it would probably be a classic car and just drive it when the weather is nice. I am so used to public transport it does not bother me.

Hey I used to drive a Smart and I had enough watches to pay for two smart car replacements.
I don't like spending a whole lot on depreciating assets.

I can't wait to spend some more on Rolex watches! Although I took a loss on the Omega's they still secured a lot of my money that I was able to leverage / re-invest into this and other things. To each their own but have to say I feel sorry for the folks (especially the younger ones) who don't yet understand this.
