Ok, now that things have settled a bit and truthfully I cannot see myself wearing anything but a Rolex/Tudor and yes, a Sub, now the only question is do I continue with vintage or do I buy what I've wanted since I saw them come on the market? Firstly I have found a birth year (1965) Tudor 7926 gilt that I like how it looks and it's vintage, duh. Gotta love it. Right? But like always, it's never enough with vintage, better pearl, bracelet, insert, etc. it's tiring and costly, but it's vintage! Or do I get a beautiful 16610LV maxi dial, box and papers recently serviced and basically mint, birth watches are more or less the same price give or take a hundred bucks or so. So, I have a bit of a dilemma and I need help—in more than one way. Thanks family! Attachments:

Between those two, LV.
No contest there, and the more you wait the more expensive the LV will be.
I have both the 16610 and the 116610 and they are still my favourite modern subs.
Get the LV and a black insert and it like having two watches.

I have been leaning towards the LV simply because I had the chance to pick one up for a song some time ago and passed and have been regretting it ever since. That's when I ended up going over to the dark side of vintage and have been screwing up buying these pieces and selling them since and in the end I have been unhappy, there's always some small thing wrong that I don't like and end up selling.

One is under 5k and the other is over, can you guess which one?

I'm a fan of the LV between these two. Better long term investment and with a second bezel, you have two watches.

As much as I love the Tudor knowing your history in trying to find the "perfect" vintage I would go for the LV. Thing is if you end up finding the absolute perfect vintage you might not want to wear it much in case it gets damaged.
Get the LV then save for a less expensive vintage Tudor sub!

LV all the way! And I have tried a pre-owned LV myself, so I am biased. I go along 100% with what the others say regarding the Tudor as well.
Also, and not being an expert by any means - that Tudor does have a wonderful patina to it, including the bracelet. However, I think you might end up having problems with the bracelet after not too long. Finding a suitable replacement could be very difficult at best, I would guess.
Cheers, Carl

I've decided, I'm going for the LV. Now for the 2nd bezel. It's a beauty, I think I'm going to like it. BTW, it's under 5!
