I’ve never got my head around having a rubber strap on a Rolex, especially the PM models. The new YM needs a dash of colour. I kind of agree, although I have to reserve judgement until I see it in real life. I really think they could have added "Yachtmaster" in red, and perhaps a bit of red on the seconds hand. It is a pretty mundane looking affair in the photos. Especially when alongside the YG model.

Tudor’s offerings are underwhelming too. The diver is not my cuppa tea. CHIP - evidently the original prototype for this watch is in the Tudor display case at Basel.

I forgot that you were over there Chip, you lucky bugger. Who else have you met ? Some of the watches on wrists there must be a treat.

CHIP - what did you think of the BB Bronze with charcoal grey dual IRL? Might have to have one. I’m not saying it’s better than the blue, because I have a thing for blue watches, but it’s better than the brown

That WG Pepsi with meteorite dial looks way better in your photo than on the Rolex website.Mind you, I have to see in in real life, and maybe I will get a different impression. I think the SS Pepsi with Jubilee outshines both of those WG models. Especially now I have seen it.

If I didn’t have the blue, I’d jump on it. If you wanna borrow it for a month or so to see how it wears over time, you are welcome to.

I think all of the new offers from Rolex this year were sort of duds. There was really nothing new, a re-hash of the BLNR GMT while taking away the LN model. The new Yacht Master should be on a Oyster Bracelet. $28k for a rubber strap is a bit of a stretch, and I don't even pay attention to the Tudor line. Even with the TT Sea Dweller, at least you can still get a Sub and an Explorer in SS. That is if you can find them at a store.
But that's just me, I could be wrong!

I am 99.9999 percent sure I do not recall that event, perhaps you can refresh my memory.
