Welcome to the forum! I'm not aware of the rate per movement in Swiss francs but know for sure it's a strategic partnership. I've ordered a few COSC certificates for Omega watches over the years. Back in the mid 2000s this was free once you had a watch with a warranty card stamped by an authorized dealer / with warranty. Several years ago though they began charging for this. When I tried to order it for my 2225.80 two years ago, Omega reached out to the COSC and later informed me that they only keep movement test results on file for a period of 10 years. If I recall correctly, the movements get send out to the COSC to be tested in 5 positions, at 3 different temperatures. For the services rendered a certainty they're being compensated to at least cover costs, as they're a nonprofit. Companies like Omega and Rolex now get the tested movements back, put them in the watch case, and conduct further testing to be deemed a "Master Chronometer" or "Superlative Chronometer", both of which tout an accuracy greater than that of the COSC tests. They're more harsh and include an addition position. www.cosc.swiss/enwww.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/watchmaking/the-master-chronometer-certification/#home_MasterChronometerwww.rolex.com/about-rolex-watches/movements.htmlI guess the marketing strategies of various brands differ. The Geneva seal and what it stands for (on some Patek watches) is more prestigious than aligning with the COSC. IWC I didn't realize did this, I'm assuming it's more less a technicality to have movements tested but they don't care to openly advertise this. Regardless to why I like what the COSC and their tests stand for, with regards to Swiss watch history. Hopefully some of the other members have the additional information you require.

With the new Bond film No Time To Die being released (FINALLY) I saw this on another forum and had to share. Albeit a fictional character the image / brand created by this franchise over the decades is very real. I'll never forget people describing how the original movies made the Aston Martin an icon. Something that drew crowds in the UK shortly after its first appearance. Seeing the watches on the wrist of numerous actors have been a catalyst for my lifelong obsession with watches. Other than the obvious, the most noteworthy for me would be 1995 onward. Pierce Brosnan as Bond using that watch (first the Quartz then the automatic) cemented it as the Bond watch for me. Any time a new Bond film is released I'm always very excited. www.fratellowatches.com/the-evolution-of-james-bonds-omega-seamaster-watches-then-and-now/

I'll never forget that day, 20 years ago. I was in high school and they let us watch it all unfold on the news. Having family in New York and New Jersey who would be in Manhattan daily, particularly that area it was very scary. Unable to reach family members by phone due to the outages. I'll never forget.
May the rest in peace.

Baco Noir Agreed, with borrowed content seemingly common in the industry it's always refreshing to see something original. Hope to see this piece in person. Best of all, albeit more dressy, it has 200 Meters of water resistance.
