It's coming from personal experience haha. Also if you don't already, try use the chronograph sometimes. You're very lucky to have this piece really.

Absolutely, she could definitely wear this in the future if she desires. If you spend more time browsing Daytona content it will help you better appreciate this, I'm sure.

Albeit a problem, this is a great one to have, indeed. The Daytona has one of the nicest Chronograph dials ever made in my opinion. Hard for anyone to justify both in this market, but I suspect you'll still want the Submarine, not enough yet to part with this gem though.

Good job, glad this has been taken down. What a true shame and it makes me feel sorry for the ones who do end up making purchases like this.
Chrono24 does have the escrow service I believe, so hopefully buyers of these pieces with less experience (who may not use the vintage Rolex forums) actually have a local watch maker who can inspect it for them upon arrival.
No idea how smooth the process would be to actually end up getting the money back, but they make it sound easy enough.

Wow, that thing needs to be reported and removed from any platform it may be on for sale. The neo-vintage pieces I remember from a few decades ago, but never really got much into educating myself on this era of watch from Rolex.

I really like the Daytona but totally understand where you're coming from. Years ago a friend of mine with pretty much the exact same wrist size let me try it on.

I'm thinking profit motive has something to do with it, to a certain extent. Some very dishonest (to be nice) individuals have gone to great lengths to take advantage of well meaning buyers to line their own pockets. With the big following this brand has for both modern and vintage it attracts a lot of attention from the wrong individuals.

So glad you dodged this bullet, Steve. The vintage market can be a minefield so to speak. The Submariner is the better option for you in my opinion anyway.

Nicko Agreed wholeheartedly regarding living to the fullest and cherishing each moment. That sounds difficult, indeed, but I know for a fact he would want you to enjoy your life to the max and be happy.
