Baco Noir Fantastic shots, indeed! A great collection there as well and you truly have an appreciation for multiple brands! I seem to remember the incoming for each of those, at least the Rolex watches. That Tag is a superb chronograph. Nicko Wow, settling in with the right watch now is good but it's also great you had so much fun with them for so long. It just makes you even more sure of your most recent purchase which was a great idea and can't wait to see more of it!

Nicko Amazing! Man oh man, I had no idea you owned all of those. You've got great taste and I had no clue you owned modern pieces too like the ceramic Submariner! Here's the first wrist shot ever of my GMT, as soon as I got back to my car: It was a long day and lots of driving from near downtown Toronto where the watch dealer is located, so stopped at the Subway to get some food, couldn't stop staring at the watch. It's a miracle I made it home without an issue: The 16570 Explorer II I traded towards the T with two other Omega watches: I don't miss the Explorer II nor could I see myself getting another (if I did) considering the other neo-vintage options more my preference. Over the years I'm certain all of us have taken thousands of pictures of watches, without a doubt. After going through my old albums I found a few that really stood out to me and represented some incredibly fond memories. I'll have to try find the ones I took right after I bought th 116710LN and got to my car. carl was the first person to see that image. Which wrist shots have you taken over the years that really stand out to you, even if it's a watch you sold. I still have the GMT and will never sell it. [/IMG]

Thanks wario ! It would be so nice to attend a get together or visit a watch museum to even see one of these in person. Fingers crossed getting the next best thing cures that, but you know how this passion for watches goes!

This is true as I wanted one many years ago. Embracing other brands and models for a while and I've ultimately landed in the same spot with this. As of this moment I can't think of anything else as exciting for me. Although it may not be a Comex version if I do go ahead, they do help me appreciate the history behind the watches mentioned in the article.

Those of you reading this will know how much dive watches appeal to me. This has been the case since the early 2000s and seemingly always will be. The history behind these tools which were designed for commercial divers has been fascinating to say the least. Continuous improvements over time and striving to push the boundaries of what's possible from an engineering perspective. Legendary brands battling to emerge from this competition of sorts victorious. Ultimately, from just a couple mainstream brands this contributed to some of the most desirable pieces of this category, some of which were remarkably versatile as daily watches. Once upon a time I wanted the Omega PloProf 1,200, but with prices up and this watch not being as versatile my search continued. My ultimate watch is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, but I'm having a hard time with the concept of paying $35,000+ CAD for a watch on a strap given my preference. Long story short, I'm browsing the Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 as an option again and would love to own one. Finding the right piece will be a challenge and I'm not willing to trade anything towards this watch. The images below from Google might give you a better idea why I'm considering this: Currently a full set converted to CAD is about $20,000 which I'm not willing to pay for this. New old stock with all stickers in tact is around $30,000 CAD which I would never pay. However, one used in decent shape with some accessories such as the warranty paper / card (missing tool kit) is around $13,000 CAD at the time of this post. Factoring in that I'll have to pay 18% import fees we'll have to see what I eventually end up doing. No watches really appeal to me now other than what I own. Part of the fun here is embracing the process along the way, regardless to the outcome.
